Registered Dental Assistants
Kendra began assisting right out of high school and worked at a general dentistry office for 4 years. She graduated from ACC Dental Assisting School in 2008, joined Dr. Milman’s team shortly after, and has been Dr. Milman’s lead surgical assistant since.
Aside from assisting Dr. Milman, she loves spending time with her husband, Shawn and son, Kason who is turning four in July. He makes sure to always keep her on her toes, but she enjoys every minute of it. Some of their favorite things to do together are fishing, watching him play T-ball, and spending time outdoors. Any time spent with them, even if it’s just lounging around, is time well spent.
When asked why she loves her job, with no hesitation, she said, “definitely the patient relationships. Knowing you are one of the reasons they look forward to returning is rewarding.” She says that working for a great dentist and team makes coming to work easy because we are like one big family!
Holly has been a Registered Dental Assistant since 2007 and joined Dr. Milman’s team nearly 6 years ago. She likes working in Dr. Milman’s office because she loves working in such a friendly and family-oriented atmosphere, meeting new people, and helping patients feel better about themselves by providing great dentistry. Holly says that one of her favorite parts of her job is seeing how much happier and more confident patients are when they see their newly restored smile.
At home, Holly enjoys spending time with her husband, Justin, and two kids, Summer and Westin. She also has two dogs, Rogue, a Belgian Malanois, and Cadence, a Shih Tzu.
Jessica has been an assistant since 2007 but has been working in a dental office since she was 15. She began assisting for Dr. Milman in August of 2017. She loves hanging out with her husband and three kids and likes to explore the hiking and nature trails around the Austin area.
She likes her job because she likes to help people feel more comfortable in a sometimes nerve-wracking situation and helping people get a healthy mouth, and therefore, a healthy body.
Heather grew up in Menominee, in the upper peninsula of Michigan. She graduated from Ferris State University’s Dental Hygiene program in 2008 and has worked for Dr. Milman since August of 2017. She has experience as a hygienist in many areas of dentistry, such as orthodontics, general dentistry, and periodontics. Heather has many continuing education hours in dental sleep medicine (sleep apnea and other sleep disorders in relation to the mouth) and is certified in the use of lasers in dentistry.
When asked why she loves being a hygienist, she said, “I love making a difference. I understand the importance of good oral health, and I love having a positive impact on people’s health.”
Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband, Jesse and four children: Logan, Lily, Bentley, and Brady. Her kids are very active in extracurricular activities, and when they’re not busy with their activities, they love to go camping, boating, and to hockey games. They also love taking their two golden retrievers, Ranger and Brenham, swimming.
Terry grew up in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and went to Boston University where she got a degree in special education and elementary education. She met Dr. Milman during her freshman year of college and they have been married for 35 years.
Terry has many hobbies and when she’s not working in the office she enjoys knitting, jewelry making and dipping chocolates just to name a few. She also loves reading and has been in a book club for over 20 years.
Terry’s philosophy on life is to be kind and serve others. She is extremely involved in non-profits, particularly those focusing on the youth and the elderly. She loves working in the office and finds a great sense of satisfaction being part of a team that works so well together to enhance the dental health of our patients.
